Q: How many students participate in gymnastics at your school?
A: We have approximately 800 preschool and recreational gymnastics students. In addition, we have 200 pre competitive and competitive team athletes.

Q: Is gymnastics just for girls?
A: No! In fact, gymnastics participation enhances strength, agility, flexibility, and endurance which are great for gymnastics and other sports as well. We have 250 boys in our preschool and recreational gymnastics programs. In addition, we have 30 boys on our competitive team.

Q: What age are your students?
A: At our main gym, children can begin at 18 months. We offer classes for all ages and abilities, preschool through high school.

Q: Besides gymnastics, what does your school offer?
A: We offer pee-wee and All Star competitive cheerleading, rock climbing classes, and a wide range of young adult Sports Training, and Adult Fitness classes.

Q: How do I register?
A: You can call our office to find our where we have openings, and we will get you started right away! During most times of the year, we can pro-rate your tuition if you start mid-semester. Registration fees are $20 per student, per year, not to exceed $40 per family per year.

Q: How long do your sessions run?
A: We run three semesters, Sept.- Dec., Jan.- March, and April June. Once your child is enrolled, they are enrolled and obligated for the entire semester. Furthermore, you will be automatically enrolled into the following semesters. If you need to stop at the end of a semester, please notify the office in writing 2 weeks prior to the end of the semester.

Q: When is tuition due?
A: If you have one child enrolled, payment is due for the entire semester before the semester begins. If you have more than one child in the program, you will receive a discount, and tuition is due monthly, before the first class of each month. Call our office for details on specific tuition costs.

Q: What should my child wear?
A: Shorts and t-shirt, or a leotard for girls. Socks should be worn. (no tights) Long hair should be tied back. Please leave all jewelry at home.

Q: Do you have a school uniform?
A: Our team athletes have a team uniform. For our preschool and recreational gymnasts, we offer school t-shirts for purchase if desired. In addition, every June, our school celebrates Gym Fest which is a celebration of our students achievements. All students are required to purchase a theme t-shirt for this event.

Q: What if my child misses a class?
A: Your child is allowed up to 2 make-ups per semester. You must call in advance to schedule a make-up in a comparable class.

Q: How do I find out about snow closings?
A: We will put a message on our answering machine. You can give us your email address and we will notify you via email. We also put storm closings on WILI Radio and Channel 3.

Q: How are the children grouped?
A: In our preschool classes, boys and girls are grouped together, and in most cases, stay in the same group with the same teacher for the entire year. In general (first grade and up) and intermediate gymnastics, the boys and girls are grouped separately, and students are grouped by age and ability.

Q: How are children chosen for team?
A: Team athletes are hand chosen by our staff. We are always evaluating the progress of our students and watching for young gymnasts who show the skill, strength and discipline to become a team level athlete.

Q: What are your staffs credentials?
A: Our teachers are all USAG Professional Members, and hold either USAG Safety Certification, or Sports Safety, First Aid and CPR. In addition, our staff is comprised of many current and former competitive gymnasts. We provide in-house training, spotting seminars and frequent staff meetings. In addition, we serve as a teaching facility for Physical Education Students from ECSU.
